Quotes, payment and currency — review draft

Current transaction flow

The public catalogue is price on enquiry and does not take live online card payments. A basket or checkout view is not evidence that payment is enabled or an order has been accepted. Exsel must issue a written quote and then explicitly accept an order before the buyer owes under that order.

Quote contents and validity

A quote should identify seller and buyer, goods and quantities, item and total amounts, currency, tax assumptions, shipping, validity date, payment method and any credit or deposit condition. If stock or tax changes before acceptance, Exsel should issue a revised quote for the buyer to accept.

Currency display and conversion

A locale may display GBP, EUR, USD or another currency. That setting is presentation, not a guaranteed exchange rate or a right to settle in that currency. The accepted quote and invoice should identify the contract currency. Any conversion rate, date, fee or rounding rule requires explicit written agreement.

Tax and invoice

A quote should say whether amounts are tax inclusive or exclusive and identify the basis for VAT, sales tax or other charges. The final invoice should carry the legally required seller and buyer details for the transaction. A tax identifier or exemption should be checked before relying on it; local country pages cannot decide tax automatically.

Payment method and security

Any bank transfer or other payment instruction should come from a verified Exsel channel. Buyers should independently confirm unexpected changes to bank details. The final terms should identify the payment due date, allocation of bank fees and what happens if a transfer cannot be matched to an order.

Credit, financing and wallets

No general credit line, buy-now-pay-later product, cash wallet or promotional balance is offered by this website. If Exsel later introduces one, separate written terms must state the provider, eligibility, charges, repayment, dispute and refund process.

Payment disputes and adjustments

A buyer should raise an invoice or payment discrepancy promptly with its order reference. Exsel should explain any correction, tax adjustment, credit note or refund in writing. Chargebacks and reversals must follow the actual payment method's rules and applicable law; this draft does not create a card-dispute process while cards are disabled.
